Mixed Reality Simulators for Wind Energy Education
Mixed Reality Simulators for Wind Energy Education is an ongoing effort to develop innovative materials for educators to use in wind energy and related courses. Mixed Reality is a broad term encompassing both virtual and physical components. The simulators will incorporate a variety of these elements and be available on multiple platforms ranging from PC to mobile devices to fully immersive virtual reality systems. Evaluation and assessment is a large component of the project, and findings will be disseminated here on this website as well as through academic and industry conferences and publications.
The project is being developed by the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation at Purdue University Northwest through a grant from the US Department of Education’s FIPSE program (Fund for the Improvement of Post Secondary Education).
