The Social Science Methodology Center will promote the dissemination of research through training and consultation. The personnel of the Center have advanced training in statistics and methodology, and will provide training to faculty on current methodological techniques, as well as consult on research projects within and outside the university.
The Center will have computer resources with specialized statistical programs that will facilitate consultation and the production of graphical output to facilitate dissemination of research. Specialized programs include computer assisted data collection software, relational database software, qualitative data analysis software, multivariate analysis software, and geographic information systems (GIS) software. All of these resources currently exist in the Department of Behavioral Sciences.
